This privacy policy describes how Motho Cloud Services ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the PopTutor mobile application and the poptutor.app website (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Data Controller

The data controller for the Service is Motho Cloud Services, a company registered in Sweden. You can reach us at hello@poptutor.app.

2. What Data We Collect

PopTutor does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our own servers. Your study materials, quiz results, progress, and settings are stored locally on your device only.

3. AI Processing via Azure OpenAI

When you use PopTutor to generate quiz questions, the content you provide (photographs, PDF text, or other uploaded material) is transmitted to Microsoft Azure OpenAI for processing. This data is used solely to analyze your study material and generate quiz questions. Microsoft Azure OpenAI processes this data in accordance with Microsoft's data protection terms and does not use your inputs to train or improve their AI models. No content is stored by us after processing is complete.

4. Website Analytics

Our website (poptutor.app) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data through cookies, including pages visited, time spent on the site, and approximate geographic location. This data cannot be used to personally identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics by adjusting your browser's cookie settings or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Advertising

The free version of PopTutor is ad-supported and displays advertisements after completed quizzes. Our advertising partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. Please refer to the privacy policies of our advertising partners for information about their data practices. You may be able to limit ad personalization through your device's privacy settings.

6. Your Rights Under the GDPR

As a company registered in Sweden, we operate in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the following rights regarding any personal data processing:

  • Right of access — request a copy of any personal data we process about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing — request limitation of how your data is processed
